Masti 3 & Ice Age 5, Both Struggle due to Sultan

The latest installment of adult comedy franchise Masti has been released this Friday on box office and started on a slow note. Unluckily a week ago, the censor copy of the movie took back door exit and that is why makers preponed  it by a week to July 15 from July 22. But due to last week released Salman Khan’s Sultan it received limited screens and audience, so such cold start was already expected.

Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani & Urvashi Rautela starrer Great Grand Masti received negative reviews from most of the critics and mixed from audience. On the opening day, it reported only 10-15% of occupancy across the country and minted the amount of 2.50 crores. Due to unfavorable response, it has not showed any growth on Saturday and added the same amount of 2.50 crores to its account.

The adjacent Hollywood release, Ice Age: Collision Course has also started on a slow note but getting favorable response from Indian audience. As it is the fifth installment of very popular adventure animated franchise Ice Age, so it has been released with good buzz among audience. The movie received almost positive reviews from critics but tagged as for kids only.

On its opening, Ice Age 5 did the business of 1.90 crore across the country and showed decent jump on Saturday. Being weekend, it witnessed higher response than Friday and added the amount of 3 crores to its account. It is expected to rake more on Sunday.
