5 Days Total Collection of Madaari across India
The strongest one among all new Hindi releases of this week, Madaari passed its weekend with a below average business total. Despite almost positive reviews, the movie has not received much audience in theaters and now after the weekend, struggling to add considerable amounts to its account. The major reason behind this, is the adjacent Tamil release Kabali of superstar Rajinikanth. Also the Eid release Salman Khan’s Sultan still has enough hold over audience.
As per critics, both Irrfan Khan and Jimmy Sheirgill are very promising actors ans have given brilliant performances in Madaari. Despite this, movie is not able to attract audience much because, they have more better option Kabali (Hindi) to watch in theaters.
In the opening weekend, Madaari witnessed below average occupancy across the country and did the business of 9.75 crores, which included 2.25 crores of Friday, 3.50 crores of Saturday and 4 crores of Sunday. Whereas the Hindi version of Kabali reported the business of around 17 crores and the two weeks old Sultan minted 11.09 crores in this weekend.
Now the movie is running in weekdays and asusual witnessing lesser response than weekend. On Monday, it faced almost 50% of drop than Friday and minted the amount of 1.25 crore. On Tuesday, it recorded slight more drop and added the amount of 1.10 crore to its account. With this, its 5 days total collection has become 12.10 crores on domestic box office.
