34 Days Total Collection of Salman Khan’s Sultan
Yash Raj Films’ latest venture Sultan is all set to become the third movie to enter in 300 crores club across India after PK & Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Due to the stardom of superstar Salman Khan, the movie has been released with enormous hype among fans as well as moviegoers and as expected received overwhelmed response across the globe.
Most of the critics reviewed Sultan with very positive comments, which created strong word of mouth about it among rest audience. The movie thoroughly enjoyed the phenomenal response at box office in its early weeks and became third highest grossing movies of all time in a short period.
In the opening week, it did the business of 229.16 crores with exceptional occupancy through out. In the second week, it recorded usual drop and raked the business of 48.80 crores. Then in the third week, it had to compete with Rajinikanth’s much awaited Kabali but managed to collect 15.84 crores on domestic box office.
In the fourth week, new Hindi release Dishoom was in opposite to Sultan but still it maintained a steady pace and minted the amount of 4.43 crores. Now the movie is running in its fifth week and due to no new big release, registered decent business total in the weekend.
In the fifth weekend, it did the business of total 1.51 crore including 0.24 crore of Friday, 0.49 crore of Saturday and 0.78 crore of Sunday. After 33 days, total collection of Sultan was recorded as 299.74 crores net on domestic box office and around 582 crores at worldwide box office.
Once again, Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial is in weekdays and asusual witnessing lower response than before. On its 5th Monday, Sultan reported almost 30% of drop than last Friday and added the amount of 0.16 crore to its account. With this, total 34 days domestic collection of the movie has become 299.90 crores.
