20 Days Total Collection of Rajinikanth’s Kabali
Couple of weeks back released crime action Tamil movie Kabali has already entered in the 200 crores club on domestic box office. Being superstar Rajinikanth starrer, this Pa. Ranjith’s directorial has been released with huge hype among fans as well as audience. As expected it witnessed phenomenal occupancy in the early weeks and registered outstanding business.
With time, it slowed down but still has enough hold over audience across the country, especially in its dominated region Tamil Nadu. Unfortunately the movie received mixed reviews from critics but due to favorable reactions of audience, it has shattered many existing records of South Indian cinema.
In the opening week, Kabali did the business of 149 crores from its Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions; this included 110 crores of weekend and 39 crores of weekdays. In the second due to no much competition, it remained strong and raked the business of 44.45 crores including 29 crores of weekend and 15.45 crores of weekdays.
The movie is now running in the third week and despite new Tamil release Thirunaal, it managed to secure 9.70 crores in the weekend with 2.05 crores of Friday, 3.25 crores of Saturday and 4.40 crores of Sunday. After the third weekend, total domestic collection of Kabali was recorded as 203.15 crores. In its early week, it recorded quite good business from north regions too but now only south regions are being contributed.
Once again Kabali is in weekdays and being normal working days, getting lesser audience in theaters. With slight drop than last Friday, it did the business of 1.50 crore on Monday and 1.10 crore on Tuesday. On the next day i.e. Wednesday, it reported slight more drop and likely to add 0.75 crore* to its account. With this, total 20 days collection of the movie will become 206.50 crores* across India.
