Box Office: Befikre 10th Day Collection, Crosses 55 Cr Total till 2nd Weekend

Bollywood’s young superstar Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor starrer romantic drama Befikre is now heading averagely on box office, but has surpassed the lifetime total of Arjun Kapoor-Kareena Kapoor’s Ki & Ka (52.31 crores) in the second weekend and all set to surpass Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro (58 crores) by the end of this week. Backed by big banner Yash Raj Films, the movie was promoted on a wide scale and released with immense excitement of fans.

Due to high initial buzz, Aditya Chopra’s directorial recorded strong occupancy in early days but received mixed reviews from critics, which pulled it back in weekdays. Despite the entertaining performance of Ranveer and peppy music, most of the critics have not found it worthy. Although the movie has witnessed almost favorable response from viewers but that too wasn’t able to make it run steadily for long.

In the opening week, Befikre recorded overall decent occupancy and did the business of 48.75 crores, with 34.43 crores of weekend and 14.32 crores of weekdays. Now the movie is running in the second week and reported decent business in the weekend in opposite to new released erotic thriller Wajah Tum Ho. On its second Friday, it faced around 33% of drop than Thursday and raked 1.68 crore.

Then on Saturday, being weekend the movie showed more than 30% of growth and added the amount of 2.27 crores to its account. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, Befikre received higher response than last 2 days and minted the amount of 2.84 crores to make its 10 days total collection as 55.54 crores on domestic box office.
