Box Office: OK Jaanu 3rd Day Collection, Earns Near 14 Cr Total in Opening Weekend from India

3 Days Total Collection of Aditya-Shraddha’s OK Jaanu

The recent offering of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, OK Jaanu has been released this Friday with good buzz among fans but not getting much response at box office. It is the second collaboration of the actors after 2013’s Aashiqui 2 and were highly expected to recreate the magic of love on silver screens. Although their chemistry is very beautiful in the movie but still many critics are not satisfied with it.

The mixed reviews of critics, have melted down the hype of OK Jaanu among audience and now they are looking more exited towards Hollywood’s xXx Return of Xander Cage, which also features Deepika Padukone in a pivotal role. This has affected its box office performances also. As per critics, the new Hindi release is enjoyable with no doubt, but only for those who haven’t watched the original one OK Kanmani (Tamil) till yet.

On the opening day, despite being Lohri holiday Shaad Ali’s directorial recorded lesser response than earlier expectations and did the average business of 4.08 crores from around 1400 screens across the country. While the first collaboration of Aditya & Shraddha, Aashiqui 2 did the opening business of 6.25 crores. After noticing good buzz that this had generated with its trailer & youthful music, everyone was expecting positive about it. But nothing has come out in that way.

On Saturday also, it had disappoint fans and added the amount of 4.90 crores with limited growth. While the Hollywood’s new offering xXx Return of Xander Cage started its journey on Indian box office with 6.25 crores. Then on the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, due to holiday OK Jaanu managed to show little jump in morning but at last affected by #IndvEng cricket match and minted the amount of 4.82 crores, which has made its opening weekend total collection as 13.80 crores on domestic box office.
