Opening Day Performances of Mirza Juuliet, Mukti Bhawan & Laali Ki Shaadi

This week’s new Hindi offerings Mirza Juuliet, Mukti Bhawan and Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana have been released with no buzz and as expected remained dull throughout the opening day. Among all three, only Mukti Bhawan has received positive reviews from critics as well as viewers.

Adil Hussain, Lalit Behl, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Palomi Ghosh and Navnindra Behl starrer Mukti Bhawan (Hotel Salvation), unexpectedly become highly noticeable release of the week. It happened because of the strong reviews it has got from all the critics on first day.

Shubhashish Bhutiani’s directorial this comedy drama has been released on limited screens across the country. On Friday, it witnessed very low footfalls in theaters and minted around 0.05 crore at box office. But it is expected to show considerable growth over the weekend.

On the other hand, Darshan Kumar and Pia Bajpai starrer romantic action Mirza Juuliet had received good response for it’s official trailer but got failed to impress viewers as well as critics in theaters. With around 5-10% of occupancy, it has reported the opening business of 0.10 crore.

While Akshara Haasan, Vivaan Shah and Gurmeet Choudhary starrer romantic comedy Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana recorded almost similar occupancy as Mirza Juuliet and it also got failed to impress anyone. With 10% of occupancy, it has garnered the business of 0.15 crore on domestic box office.
