Box Office: Half Girlfriend and Hindi Medium 4th Day Collection, Witness Usual Drop on Monday

4 Days Total Collection of Half Girlfriend and Hindi Medium

Director Mohit Suri’s latest offering Half Girlfriend passed the opening weekend on a good but flat note at domestic box office. Due to mixed reviews from critics as well as viewers, it didn’t witness considerable growth over the weekend but registered good total with the support of fans.

Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer this romantic drama, was expected to create magic like 2013’s Aashiqui 2. Although it collected good business at box office in the weekend but got failed to satisfy the critics as well as audience thoroughly.

With fifth highest opening of the year in Bollywood so far, Half Girlfriend raked the business of total 32.04 crores in the opening weekend from 2500 screens across the country. This included 10.27 crores of Friday, 10.63 crores of Saturday and 11.14 crores of Sunday.

Now the movie has entered in weekdays and faced usual drop of more than 50% and minted the amount of 5.11 crores to take it’s 4 days domestic total to 37.15 crores. With this trend, it seems to collect rake around 48 crores domestically by this week.

On the other hand, the adjacent Hindi release Hindi Medium of director Saket Chaudhary, started the journey on a decent note but reported good growth over the weekend. Also it has received positive reviews from critics and the similar response from audience.

In the opening weekend, Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar starrer did the business of 12.56 crores, that included 2.81 crores of Friday, 4.25 crores of Saturday and 5.50 crores of Sunday from 1126 screens across the country.

Now Hindi Medium has entered in weekdays and like Half Girlfriend, it also faced some drop in it’s footfalls than before but still remained steady. On Monday, the movie recorded 12% higher business than Friday and fetched 3.15 crores to raise it’s 4 days domestic total to 15.71 crores.
