3rd Day Collection of Jagga Jasoos, Musical Adventure Film Crosses 30 Crore Total in 1st Weekend

After a decent start, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s new offering Jagga Jasoos picked up well over the weekend and registered good business despite having newly released War For The Planet Of The Apes, last week’s Spider Man Homecoming and Mom in opposite.

Directed by Anurag Basu, Jagga Jasoos was finally released this Friday after a long delay. Although several postponements partly took away the excitement of moviegoers but still got good response at box office and also received positive reviews from most of the viewers.

From critics, this musical adventure drama got mixed reviews but everyone praised the performances given by Ranbir and Katrina in the movie. Director Basu also received appreciation for his attempt to try something new.

On the opening day, Jagga Jasoos recorded 25-30% of occupancy across the country and did the decent business of 8.57 crores from around 1800 screens. With this, it has emerged as the eighth highest opener of the year so far in Hindi cinema and 9th highest of Ranbir’s career.

Due to favorable word of amount, Ranbir-Katrina starrer showed good jump of 34.5% on Saturday and raked the business of 11.53 crores. Then on Sunday, it took 13% of growth more and garnered 13.07 crores.

After the opening weekend, total collection of Jagga Jasoos has become 33.17 crores nett. at domestic box office. To be on safe side, it has to remain steady throughout this week.
