After a below-expected opening on Friday, family entertainer Mubarakan picked up impressively well over the weekend and registered overall decent business at domestic box office. Now it has entered in weekdays and started getting lesser footfalls in theaters due to normal working days.
Directed by Anees Bazmee, romantic comedy drama Mubarakan starring Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ileana D’cruz and Athiya Shetty in lead roles. Fortunately audience liked the movie and reacted in it’s favor. As a result it took fair growth on Saturday and Sunday.
On the opening day, Mubarakan recorded an average occupancy and did the business of only 5.16 crores, which was far lesser than the expected one. Then on Saturday, due to positive word of mouth it showed around 43% of growth and minted the amount of 7.38 crores.
On Sunday with further increment, Mubarakan raked the business of 10.37 crores and raised it’s opening weekend total collection of 22.91 crores from 2350 screens across the country. Now Anees Bazmee’s directorial is running in weekdays which are crucial for it to be on safe side.
On Monday, Anil-Arjun Kapoor starrer faced abrupt drop in footfalls due to normal working days but still remained decent. With 31.2% of drop than Friday, Mubarakan is estimated to collect the amount of 3.55 crores and take it’s 4 days domestic total to 26.46 crores.
Mubarakan has only one week to prove it’s potential, because from coming Friday, Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer romantic drama Jab Harry Met Sejal is all set to take command of box office.
