The latest action entertainer from Bollywood, Baadshaho has been released on Friday with good excitement of fans as well as moviegoers. Directed by Milan Luthria, the movie is getting mixed reviews from critics but audience are looking quite satisfied and showing thumbs up for it.
Set against the backdrop of 1975 during Emergency in India, Baadshaho is the story of 6 tough people who are connected to a heist of truck loaded with gold. It stars superstar Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Vidyut Jammwal, Ileana D’cruz, Esha Gupta and Sanjay Mishra in lead roles, who have given commendable performances.
With it’s interesting plot, burly dialogues, good action, sincere direction and as stated above commendable performances, the movie is being liked most of the viewers. As a result, it recorded good occupancy throughout the opening day across India and registered 7th highest opening of the year so far.
On Friday, Baadshaho opened with 50% occupancy on single screens and overall 30-35% across the country for morning shows. Due to positive public response, the movie witnessed decent growth in footfalls over evening & night shows and minted the amount of 12.60 crores from 2800 screens nationwide.
On the other hand, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer another quirky romantic comedy after Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan has also been released this Friday with decent excitement of fans as well as moviegoers. Like the first one, this one too getting mixed reviews from critics and positive from viewers.
But due to clash with a biggie Baadshaho, it got lower audience in theaters on Friday. The movie recorded only 10-15% of occupancy in morning on 1400 screens in India and overall 20-25% throughout the opening day. With this, R.S.Prasanna’s directorial Shubh Mangal Saavdhan raked the business of 2.71 crores.
Both the movies are positively expected to show good growth over the weekend due to positive word of mouth & Eid festival.
