5th Day Collection of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, RS Prasanna’s Film Remains Steady on Tuesday

Director RS Prasanna’s recent offering Shubh Mangal Saavdhan has successfully made a good place in the heart of audience. Despite having a biggie Baadshaho in opposite, this romantic comedy reported good performance in the opening weekend and heading decently in weekdays as well.

Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is the second collaboration of Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar after 2015’s unexpected hit Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Like the previous, their recent film is also getting good response at box office. Although it received mixed reviews from critics, but audience found it entertaining.

On the opening day, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan got an average start with only 15-25% of occupancy and did the business of 2.71 crores from 1400 screens across the country. The opening business is low but higher than Ayushmann’s last offering Bareilly Ki Barfi (2.42 crores).

On the next day i.e. Saturday due to Eid holiday and positive word of mouth, this quirky rom-com took an impressive jump and raked the business of 5.56 crores. With further growth, it minted the amount of 6.19 crores on Sunday and made it’s opening weekend total 14.46 crores.

Now Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is running in weekdays and asusual getting lesser footfalls in theaters than before, but still has good-enough hold over the audience. On Monday, it added the amount of 2.53 crores to it’s account with around 6.7% of drop than Friday.

Then on Tuesday Ayushmann-Bhumi starrer witnessed slight jump and garnered the business of 2.85 crores. With this, total 5 days collection of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan has become 19.84 crores at domestic box office.
