26th Day Collection of Toilet Ek Prem Katha TEPK, Garners Total 133.05 Crores in 26 Days

Director Shree Narayan Singh’s recent offering Toilet Ek Prem Katha has impressed all the viewers and received huge appreciation from everyone across the globe. Inspired by the PM Modi’s initiative ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, this satirical romantic drama has not only ended the long dry spell of Indian box office but also emerged as third highest grosser of 2017 so far.

Alongside superstar Akshay Kumar, TEPK starring Bhumi Pednekar in lead role and as per critics, both the leading actors have given brilliant performances in this desi entertainer. Due to positive reviews, the movie gained strong word of mouth which helped it to remain steady for long at box office.

In the opening week, Toilet Ek Prem Katha reported excellent performance throughout and did the business of 96.05 crores from 3000 screens. It was included 51.45 crores of weekend and 44.60 crores of weekdays with terrific response on single as well as multi screens.

In the second week as well, the movie remained good and raked the business of 28.35 crores with 19 crores in weekend and 9.35 crores in weekdays. Then in the third week, it got slowed down with usual rate and scored 7 crores including 4.50 crores of weekend and 2.50 crores of weekdays.

Now Akshay-Bhumi starrer is running in fourth week and once again showed jump in the weekend. It garnered the business of 1.20 crore in fourth weekend, that included 0.20 crore of Friday, 0.40 crore of Saturday and 0.60 crore of Sunday. After 24 days, total collection of the movie was recorded as 132.60 crores.

In weekdays asusual Toilet Ek Prem Katha is getting more lesser footfalls in theaters and collected the amount of 0.20 crore on it’s 4th Monday. On the next day i.e. 4th Tuesday, it remained flat and bagged similar amount of 0.25 crore. With this, total collection of TEPK has become 133.05 crores domestically.
