This Friday released two new Hindi offerings Baadshaho and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan have passed the opening weekend on a good note and still holding well in weekdays. Both the films have received mixed reviews from critics but got succeed to entertain audience and gained positive word of mouth.
Milan Luthria’s directorial Baadshaho is his second collaboration with actors Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi after 2010’s Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. Alongside both of them, it stars Vidyut Jammwal, Ileana D’cruz, Esha Gupta and Sanjay Mishra in lead roles, who have given solid performances.
In the opening weekend, this action historical drama reported good occupancy throughout on single as well as multi screens and did the strong business of 43.30 crores. It was included 12.60 crores of Friday, 15.60 crores of Saturday (Eid) and 15.10 crores of Sunday from 2800 screens in India.
Now it is running in weekdays and heading steadily due to positive reactions of audience. With usual drops, Baadshaho minted the amount of 6.82 crores on Monday and 6.12 crores on Tuesday. Then on Wednesday, the film raked the business of 4.30 crores and raised it’s 6 days domestic total to 60.54 crores.
On the other hand, RS Prasanna’s directorial Shubh Mangal Saavdhan was opened on an average note but picked up impressively well from next day. Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer this quirky romantic comedy is being liked by all the viewers.
In the opening week, it did the business of 14.46 crores that included 2.71 crores of Friday, 5.56 crores of Saturday and 6.19 crores of Sunday from 1400 screens nationwide. With usual drops in weekdays, the film collected the amount of 2.53 crores on Monday and 2.85 crores of Tuesday.
On the next day i.e. Wednesday, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan witnessed slight drop and garnered the business of 2.12 crores. With this, total 6 days collection of the film has become 21.96 crores at domestic box office.
