Karan Johar & Rohit Shetty’s Simmba Stars Ranveer Singh, 28 December 2018 Release

Earlier this year, filmmaker Rohit Shetty had confirmed that he is all set to collaborate with the livewire of Bollywood Ranveer Singh for his next venture. Now finally they have introduced the film titled Simmba among all and also locked it’s release for 28 December 2018.

For this hardcore action comedy, producer-director Rohit Shetty has joined hands with Karan Johar. On Wednesday, December 6 evening, Karan left his fans wondering with a tweet, he wrote “BIG ANNOUNCEMENT tomorrow morning!!!! Extremely excited about this collaboration!!!! Watch this space…..”.

Next day i.e. on Thursday as promised, he made announcement about his new collaboration with Rohit Shetty and shared the first look poster of the film. He captioned, “28th December 2018!! ROHIT SHETTY will be back!!!! RANVEER SINGH as #SIMMBA”.

The poster features Ranveer Singh as a notorious cop donning long moustache. In the film, he plays a role of policeman named as Sangram Bhalerao aka Simmba. With the first look, undoubtedly this upcoming film looks very entertaining and promises a high ride for fans.

Ranveer also took to twitter to share the news with fans, he tweeted, “SANGRAM BHALERAO aka #Simmba !!!! #RohitShetty @karanjohar @RelianceEnt @DharmaMovies @RSPicturez”. The actor is very much excited to collaborate with Rohit Shetty for the first time for a full fledged film.

Reportedly, Simmba is inspired by 2015’s Telugu film Temper starring Jr NTR and Kajal Aggarwal. In this matter, Rohit Shetty has already cleared that their film is not exactly a remake but it has 4-5 scenes from Temper and for that they have acquired the rights.
