The action thriller Tiger Zinda Hai was released last week with huge excitement among fans and as expected getting terrific response at box office. From the very day of release, it is setting new records and has already surpassed the lifetime total of it’s prequel 2012’s blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Tiger Zinda Hai has got succeed to impress everyone including most of the critics and gained positive word of mouth. After a humongous opening, the movie remained super strong throughout the first week and did the business of 114.93 crores in weekend and 91.11 crores in weekdays from 4600 screens.
In the second weekend, once again it showed remarkable growth and registered the business of 48.71 crores with 11.56 crores of Friday, 14.92 crores of Saturday and 22.23 crores of Sunday from 3500 screens across India. After 10 days of release, total collection of Yash Raj Film’s presentation was recorded as 254.75 crores.
Then on 2nd Monday, being new year’s first day it came out in a big way and Tiger Zinda Hai garnered the business of 18.04 crores. On the next day i.e. normal Tuesday, the movie witnessed abrupt drop of around 32.27% than Friday and minted the amount of 7.83 crores.
With this, total collection of TZH after 12 days, has become 280.62 crores at domestic box office. As per current trend, it is positively expected to rake near around 295 crores nett, closer to Salman Khan’s Sultan (300.45 crores).
