Superstar Salman Khan’s latest offering Tiger Zinda Hai is strongly heading towards his biggest blockbuster 2015’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan (320.34 crores). By this week, this action thriller is positively expected to become Bhaijaan’s highest grosser and 4th of all time in Hindi cinema.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Tiger Zinda Hai is the sequel to 2012’s blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger and was released with high recall value. With huge initial buzz and solid star power, the movie opened to a humongous note and and also got succeed to impress viewers.
In the opening week, it remained strong throughout and did the business of 206.04 crores that included 114.93 crores in weekend and 91.11 crores in weekdays from 4600 screens nationwide. In the second it maintained the pace and minted 85.51 crores with 48.71 crores in weekend and 36.80 crores in weekdays from 3500 screens nationwide.
Then in the third weekend as well, Tiger Zinda Hai remained steady and garnered the business of 17.61 crores, that included 3.72 crores on 3rd Friday, 5.62 crores on 3rd Saturday and 8.27 crores on 3rd Sunday. After 17 days, total collection of the movie was recorded 309.16 crores.
Now once again it has entered in weekdays and asusual witnessed considerable drop in footfalls due to normal working days. On 3rd Monday, Tiger Zinda Hai faced around 27% of drop than Friday and fared 2.72 crores. With this, it’s 18 days total has become 311.88 crores at domestic box office.
