The much-awaited crime thriller of filmmaker Neeraj Pandey, Aiyaary has completed its one week journey at the box office on a disappointing note. Despite a good pre-release buzz, the movie opened to a dull note and got failed to take a considerable jump over the weekend due to mixed reactions from critics as well as the audience.
Alongside Sidharth Malhotra, Manoj Bajpayee, and Rakul Preet, Aiyaary has a strong supporting cast but the movie itself has no strength. As a result, it got declined by the audience and remained dull throughout the opening week across India.
Proving all the earlier estimation wrong, Neeraj Pandey’s directorial recorded low occupancy and registered a dull opening. By remaining almost flat, it did the business of 11.76 crores that included 3.36 crores of Friday, 4.05 crores of Saturday and 4.35 crores of Sunday.
Then on weekdays, as usual, Aiyaary witnessed considerable drops in footfalls and minted the amount of 1.43 crore on Monday, 1.10 crore on Tuesday and 0.97 crore on Wednesday. By falling further, it bagged the amount of 0.88 crore on Thursday and raised its one week total collection to 16.14 crores at the domestic box office.
With the new week, Aiyaary will have the newly released Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Welcome To New York in the opposite alongside the existing ones- Black Panther, Padman, and Padmaavat. So there is no positive hope with it in the second week.
