Padmaavat 36th Day Collection, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Film Earns 288.40 Crores in 5 Weeks

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat has completed its 5 weeks journey on an excellent note at the box office. Despite having several new offerings in the opposite, this epic period drama remained strong throughout the fifth week and added a good business to its massive total.

After the four successful weeks, Padmaavat that was earlier titled Padmavati, passed the fifth weekend on a strong note. It did the business of total 4.46 crores, that included 0.88 crore of 5th Friday, 1.56 crore of 5th Saturday and 2.02 crores of 5th Sunday.

Then on weekdays as well, it remained almost steady and bagged the amount of 0.75 crore on 5th Monday, 0.65 crore on 5th Tuesday and 0.50 crore on Wednesday. Then on 5th Thursday, with a considerable drop in footfalls, the film added the amount of 0.29 crore to its account.

With this, the total collection of Padmaavat has become 288.43 crores at the domestic box office, including 281.78 crores of last 4 weeks. The film is positively expected to go past 290 crores by the sixth weekend despite the new releases Pari and Veerey Ki Wedding.

Surrounded by numerous controversies, Padmaavat was released on 25 January 2018 and did an excellent business of 166.50 in the 8-days extended first week. By remaining steady afterward, it bagged the amount of 69.50 crores in the second, 31.75 crores in the third and 14.03 crores in the fourth week.
