First Look: Mental Hai Kya brings Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao together again

Two of the supremely talented actors in Bollywood, Kangana Ranaut, and Rajkummar Rao are all set to share the screen with each other once again in an upcoming psychological thriller titled Mental Hai Kya. Last they were seen together in Vikas Bahl’s Queen that was released in the year 2014.

On March 5, Monday, makers made an announcement by releasing the first look posters of the film that feature the leading actors in a bizarre avatar. Playing with eyeballs, short-haired Kangana looks crazy in the first poster, while Rajkummar is flipping us the bird in the second.

Written by Kanika Dhillon, Mental Hai Kya will be directed by the National Award winner Prakash Kovelamudi. The film is backed by Shobha-Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures and Shaailesh R Singh’s Karma Media. Reportedly it will go on floors later this month.

In a press release, Ekta revealed, “Mental Hai Kya celebrates the beauty in imperfections and in being different and shouts out, Sanity is overrated! I’m thrilled to work with Kangana and Raj on this one”.

Earlier in an interview, Kangana Ranaut told, “My next film is Mental Hai Kya, which is written by a woman screenplay writer, Kanika, The story is about a woman who could be a murderer or a mentally ill person. It talks about mental health, but also has a light-heartedness to it”.
