The bold and the beautiful actress Urvashi Rautela, Karan Wahi, Vivan Bhatena, and Ihana Dhillon starrer erotic thriller Hate Story 4 has passed the opening weekend on a decent note, also showed better performance than the rest new Hindi offerings of this week- Dil Juunglee and 3 Storeys.
Directed by Vishal Pandya, Hate Story 4 is the new installment of the popular Indian thriller franchise Hate Story. Due to the good recall value, it opened to a decent note but received mixed reviews from the critics and remained lower than previous movies- Hate Story 3 and Hate Story 2.
On the opening day, it recorded lesser occupancy than expected and did the business of 3.76 crores. On Saturday, it took some jump and minted the amount of 4.19 crores. Then on Sunday, HS4 collected 4.62 crores and raised its opening weekend total to 12.57 crores at the domestic box office.
The second release, Taapsee Pannu and Saqib Saleem starrer rom-com Dil Juunglee has also received mixed reviews from the critics. Despite the decent buzz, it struggled a lot at the box office throughout the weekend and registered the business of only 1 crore, that included 0.35 crore of Friday, 0.30 crore of Saturday and 0.35 crore of Sunday.
On the other hand, the third one 3 Storeys that was released with least buzz, has received mostly positive reviews. Starring Pulkit Samrat, Sharman Joshi, Richa Chadha & more, it raked the business of 1.65 crore in the first weekend, that included 0.35 crore of Friday, 0.60 crore of Saturday and 0.70 crore of Sunday.
