After surpassing Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary, now Rani Mukerji starrer family drama Hichki has dominated the record of Urvashi Rautela’s Hate Story IV (22.04 crores) within 6 days of release. The movie has got succeed to impress the critics as well as the audience with its relevant and impactful content, also the actress has performed wonderfully as always.
Directed by Sidharth P Malhotra, Hichki opened on a decent note but picked up very well over the weekend and raked the business of total 15.35 crores, that included 3.30 crores of Friday, 5.35 crores of Saturday and 6.70 crores of Sunday from the limited 961 screens across the country.
Now Yash Raj Films’ presentation is running on weekdays and still has a strong hold over the audience. On Monday, it faced a drop of approx. 27% than Friday and did the business of 2.40 crores. On a similar note, it minted the amount of 2.35 crores on Tuesday.
On the next day i.e. Wednesday, with a surprise jump, Hichki bagged the amount of 2.60 crores and raised its 6 days total collection to 22.70 crores at the domestic box office. The movie is likely to collect around 24.50 crores by the end of this week.
On the other hand, Punjabi release of Diljit Dosanjh, Sajjan Singh Rangroot has also impressed everyone and gained positive word of mouth. In the opening weekend, it did the business of 5.15 crores, that included 1.35 crore of Friday, 1.75 crore of Saturday and 2.05 crores of Sunday.
Now Pankaj Batra’s directorial is running on weekdays and still maintaining a good pace despite normal working days. With a drop of approx. 33% than Friday, it minted the amount of 0.90 crore on Monday and 0.80 crore on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Sajjan Singh Rangroot collected 0.75 crore and raised its 6 days total to 7.60 crores.
