After the impressive opening week, the official Hindi remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat Dhadak has passed its second weekend as well on a solid note despite being affected by the Hollywood biggie Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Now it is all set to dominate John Abraham’s recent hit Parmanu– The Story of Pokhran.
Karan Johar’s recent production under his banner Dharma Productions, Dhadak has received mixed reviews from the critics as well as the audience, even though it got succeed to pull major crowd toward itself in the first week and still has a good hold at the box office.
Starring the newcomers Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles, this romantic drama opened on a better note than expected. By remaining steady throughout, it did the business of 51.56 crores in the first week that included 33.67 crores of the weekend and 17.89 crores of weekdays from 2235 screens nationwide.
Now Dhadak is running in the second week and once again showed a fair jump over the weekend. On 2nd Friday, it faced a drop of 26.48% than the previous day and raked the business of 2.61 crores. Then on 2nd Saturday, it took a growth of 54.02% and minted the amount of 4.02 crores.
On the next day i.e. 2nd Sunday, Zee Studios’ presentation recorded a further jump and bagged the amount of 5.20 crores. With this, its 10 days total collection has become 63.39 crores nett (81.27 crores gross) at the domestic box office.
