Gold & Satyameva Jayate 1st Day Collection Prediction, Akshay’s Film Set to take Big Lead

Superstar Akshay Kumar is back with his new much-awaited movie Gold which is all set to hit theaters this Wednesday on Independence Day i.e. 15 August 2018. Being based on India’s first Olympic gold medal historic win in hockey as a free nation at 1948 London Olympic, this sports drama is releasing on the right day and has a huge buzz nationwide.

Directed by Reema Kagti, Gold marks the debut of TV actress Mouni Roy in Bollywood opposite Akshay. It also stars Amit Sadh, Vineet Kumar Singh, Amit Sadh, and Sunny Kaushal in pivotal roles. Backed by Excel Entertainment, the movie is being promoted on a very large scale, makers have left no stone unturned to ensure the maximum reach.

Akshay’s last movie PadMan which was released in February this year did the opening business of 10.36 crores, while his last Independence Day’s release Rustom (2016) was opened at 14.11 crores. This time, his film is arriving on a holiday but not alone, so the expected opening for Gold is 19-20 crores. It won’t be surprising if it becomes Akki’s top opener by dominating the record of Singh Is Bliing.

The second Hindi offering which is daring to release opposite Gold is John Abraham & Manoj Bajpayee starrer Satyameva Jayate which also has a very high buzz among fans as well as the audience. Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri, it’s a vigilante action thriller with a patriotic touch.

John’s last movie was Parmanu that registered the opening business of 4.82 crores. Considering the fact that, the new one is releasing on a holiday and has higher buzz than his several previous offerings, Satyameva Jayate seems capable to open in a range of 8-10 crores at the domestic box office.
