Finally, by its third Saturday, the Hindi horror comedy Stree has joined the 100-crore club at the domestic box office. Since its release, the movie is showing an excellent performance on the single as well as multi-screens. After 2 successful weeks, now in the third weekend as well, it has a maintained pace despite having several new offerings in parallel.
For its interesting story-line and superb acting by the entire cast, Stree has received mostly positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience and gained a solid word of mouth. As a result, Amar Kaushik’s directorial registered the business of 60.39 crores in the first week that included 32.27 crores on the weekend and 28.12 crores on weekdays.
Then in the second week as well, Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurrana & Panjak Tripathi starrer did the business of 35.14 crores with 21.90 crores on the weekend and 13.24 crores on weekdays from 1770 screens.
After 2 weeks, the total collection of the movie was recorded at 95.53 crores nett. Now Stree is running in the third weekend and still has a good hold over the audience. On 3rd Friday, it faced the drop of 43.10% than the previous day and minted the amount of 2.14 crores.
With a fair jump on 3rd Saturday, Dinesh Vijan’s production bagged the amount of 3.76 crores and raised 16 days total collection to 101.43 crores. Now AA Films’ presentation is all set to surpass the lifetime total of Ajay Devgn’s Raid (103.07 crores) by its 3rd Sunday.
