Despite a slow start, Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu & Vicky Kaushal starrer Manmarziyaan has registered a decent opening weekend. It wasn’t released solo this Friday and also has already existing Stree in the parallel, but still, due to positive feedback from viewers, this romantic drama showed a fair uptrend over the weekend.
Directed by Anurag Kashyap, Manmarziyaan is a youth-oriented movie and it doesn’t attract the other audience much. This is the reason, it is not witnessing very good footfalls in theatres despite mostly positive reviews from the critics as well as the viewers.
On the first day, Colour Yellow Productions & Phantom Films’ production took a low opening and did the business of 3.52 crores after a decent growth post noon shows. Then it took a healthy jump over the weekend and did the business of 5.11 crores on Saturday & 5.70 crores on Sunday.
Now Manmarziyaan has entered on weekdays and as usual recorded a considerable drop in occupancy due to normal working days. On Monday, Eros International’s presentation experienced a decline of 40.34% than Friday and minted 2.10 crores. With this, its 4 days total collection has become 16.43 crores.
On the other hand, with mixed reviews, Jackky Bhagnani & Kritika Kamra starrer Mitron registered the business of 2.40 crores that included 0.55 crore on Friday, 0.80 crore on Saturday & 1.05 crore on Sunday. Then on Monday, it collected 0.40 crore and raised its 4 days collection to 2.80 crores.
While the third one, director Tabrez Noorani’s Love Sonia got failed to attract enough audience and raked the business of only 1.15 crores in the weekend with 0.25 crore on Friday, 0.40 crore on Saturday & 0.50 crore on Sunday. On Monday, it managed to collect 0.20 crore and raised 4 days collection to 1.35 crores.
