7th Day Collection of Sui Dhaaga and Pataakha, One Week Total Business Report

After an excellent opening weekend, Varun Dhawan & Anushka Sharma starrer Sui Dhaaga has registered a strong first week and already achieved a hit tag. Due to positive word of mouth, it remained solid throughout and has become 15th highest grossing Hindi movie of the year so far.

Directed by Sharat Katariya, content-driven comedy-drama Sui Dhaaga has received mostly positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience for its good content. As a result, it did the business of 36.60 crores in the opening weekend, that included 8.30 crores on Friday, 12.25 crores on Saturday, and 16.05 crores on Sunday.

Then on weekdays, despite a usual drop in footfalls, Yash Raj Films’ presentation remained superb. On Monday, it witnessed a drop of 15.66% than Friday and registered the business of 7 crores, while on Tuesday with a solid boost, it collected 11.75 crores.

On the next day i.e. Wednesday, Sui Dhaaga got dropped heavily and minted 3.80 crores. With a further decline, it managed to collect 3.35 crores on Thursday and raised one week total collection to 62.50 crores nett at the domestic box office from 2500 screens.

On the other hand, Vishal Bhardwaj’s Pataakha has also received positive reviews from viewers but still remained low and did the business of 4.05 crores in the weekend that included 0.90 crore on Friday, 1.40 crores on Saturday & 1.75 crores on Sunday from 875 screens.

Then on weekdays, Sanya Malhotra & Radhika Madan starrer managed to stay overall steady. On Monday, it collected the amount of 0.94 crore, while on Tuesday, it minted 1.56 crores. Afterward, Pataakha showed a considerable dip and bagged 0.56 crore on Wednesday & 0.53 crore on Thursday to take one week total to 7.64 crores.
