Anurag Singh who has earlier directed so many good and entertainment focused movies like Jatt & Juliet, Jatt & Juliet 2, Disco Singh and Yaar Anmulle, all of which were fun packed comedies; this is his first serious subject in a Punjabi movie which is based on a very sensitive topic of 1984 genocide. Apart from the director Anurag Singh, it’s a first time for Diljit Dosanjh as well to face a new challenge. Till now he has done comic characters with which he has done undoubtedly tremendous job and gathered huge appreciation from his fans around the world. Punjab 1984 is an upcoming Punjabi movie starring Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Kirron Kher, Pawan Malhotra, Arun Baali, Rana Ranbir, Manav Vij, Vansh Bhardwaj & Vishwas Kini among many others. The film has already gained so much attention of the audience and the critics before its release due to its controversial and sensitive script and story. Till now the film looks to have a controversial scenes and dialogues and we hope that it will be released this Friday by not much issue.
Critics Analysis of Punjab 1984
If we talk about the story of the film then the film focuses on the story of a boy who was forced to leave home during the fateful year in Punjab, and his own personal story & challenges in attempting to return home. It is a very touching and emotional story according to the critics and is surely going to set a heart touching experience to the viewers when they will watch the movie. The film is very good at most of the key points and may do very well on box office. Described by Diljit Dosanjh as his ‘dream project’ the movie once again brings together Diljit Dosanjh with director Anurag Singh & Gunbir Singh Sandhu, the trio whom worked on the record breaking Jatt & Juliet series. It has a connective story, superb star cast, well experienced and popular film makers and touching songs in it along with high promotions, so according to the critics and reviewers, Punjab 1984 has everything in its account which can make it a good and successful release.
