Ayushmann Khurrana, Nushrat Bharucha, and Manjot Singh starrer much-anticipated Dream Girl is rocking at the box office since its release despite having the holdover film Chhichhore in the opposite. After a phenomenal opening weekend, it is heading strongly on weekdays as well.
Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the Hindi comedy-drama has expectedly got to entertain almost everyone in theatres and gathered a solid word of mouth. Many critics have also found it entertaining and as a result, it had raked the business of 44.57 crores in the weekend that included 10.05 crores on Friday, 16.42 crores on Saturday & 18.10 crores on Sunday.
Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Zee Studios, Dream Girl is now running on weekdays and still maintaining a super-strong pace. On Monday, after a drop of 26.07% vis-a-vis Friday, it had minted the amount of 7.43 crores. On the next day i.e. Tuesday, the film managed to collect 7.40 crores and raised 5 days total collection to 59.40 crores nett.
On the other hand, the adjacent release Akshaye Khanna and Richa Chadha starrer Section 375 has also received mostly positive reviews from critics and gained a good word of mouth. As a result, it did the business of 8.04 crores in the weekend with 1.45 crore on Friday, 3.07 crores on Saturday & 3.52 crores on Sunday.
Ajay Bahl’s directorial courtroom drama is now running on weekdays and has recorded a minimal drop in footfalls. On Monday, it had scored 1.27 crore on board. Then on Tuesday, the film has remained steady and bagged the amount of 1.18 crore. After 5 days, its total collection has become 10.49 crores nett at the domestic box office.
