Mardaani First Weekend Box Office Response

Playing as Shivani Shivaji Roy in the movie, Rani Mukerji is getting appreciation from the audience for her performance in her latest Bollywood movie Mardaani which hit the theatres two days back on Friday. The film though released with low competition has been facing huge competition from Ajay Devgan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer action movie Singham Returns which also released just a week before this new flick. Based on the real incidents of kidnapping of teenage girls by Indian mafia which is a common crime these days, audience is feeling very much connected with the film and the script totally up to date and suitable to the theme. Mardaani has received nice applauds from most of the viewers for its really touching story and suitability of the characters to their roles. In total 3 days, Mardaani has received good income and proved itself as a decent film. Though the figures are not outstanding and it cannot be said as an excellent release but still the total is satisfactory considering the small budget.

Expectations of the people are quite high from Mardaani due to real script and fantastic performance of Rani Mukerji as a harsh and bold police cop. Another Bollywood movie has also released along with Mardaani two days back namely Mad About Dance. This also being low budget movie it has not affected business of Mardaani to a big extent. Total third Day or Sunday Collection of Mardaani is around 6.25 Crores. In its first weekend this crime based action movie has collected an income of nearly 14.46 Crores.

Mardaani has shown an average performance because after seeing one by one hit movies from last month starting from Kick then Entertainment and then Singham Returns, public expectations are very high from Mardaani and let see whether it fulfills them or not.
