Mardaani which is the latest movie of Rani Mukerji has released on about 1600+ screens and is more likely to be seen as comeback movie for Rani Mukerji after a long time in Bollywood industry. The film tells the story of a female police inspector that push herself entirely tough situation to solve the case of a kidnapped teenage girl and uncover the channel of human/child trafficking by Indian mafia. Mardaani got good reviews from the critics and experts but when it came to actual performance of the film on box office, it received mixed response from the audience. Many viewers love the film for its good script and performance of the star cast but few among the viewers felt unsatisfied due to lack of entertainment factor in it as it is a non masala movie. Overall response for the movie is good and audience has showed their interest in it. It is sixth day of film on big screen today and being a Wednesday it did average business in most of the places.

Mardaani is not seeing as a blockbuster movie by the viewers or trade experts but it is a low-mid budget movie with total budget about 20 Crores. As per initial response in total 6 days the movie will definitely earn good revenue for the production and its total first week collection from all parts of can make it cover the cost with profit. On its 6th day, Mardaani has done a business of around 1.92 Crores, till its 6th day total collection of the movie in India was 21.02 Crores. Film has potential to do much better and it is expected to prove it in next weekend.
