Akshay Kumar’s Next with Karan Johar titled Kesari, Holi 2019 Release

Once again superstar Akshay Kumar to collaborate with filmmaker Karan Johar for the film based on the battle of Saragarhi, titled Kesari. Directed by Anurag Singh, it’s a historical war drama which is scheduled to release on Holi 2019 i.e. 22 March 2019 most likely.

The co-producer & actor himself took to Twitter and shared the news with fans, he tweeted a picture with a caption, “A film I’m extremely excited about personally and emotionally… #Kesari releasing Holi 2019”. While Karan wrote, “Extremely excited to see this exceptional and brave story unfold!!! @akshaykumar #KESARI #holi2019”.

The battle of Saragarhi is one of the bravest battles fought in India. In the present time Akshay Kumar is the synonym to quality content, also his success rate at box office is phenomenal from last few years. So the combination of hit machine Akshay and strong subject, looks like a sure shot superhit before it’s filming.

Earlier this year there was a buzz that Salman Khan & Karan Johar are jointly producing a film starring Akshay Kumar in lead. But there is no mention of Salman with Kesari, also now Akshay is the co-producer in place of him. As per sources the trio has not been disbanded, now they are planning to come together with a sports biopic.

Produced by Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films, Kesari is the second collaboration of Akshay Kumar with Karan Johar after 2015’s sports drama Brothers. The first one was received mixed reviews from critics as well as audience, but there are so much positive hopes for the upcoming arrival.
