Shweta Tripathi is an Indian actress, was born on 6 July 1985 in Delhi (India). She did her primary schooling at Delhi Public School, RK Puram & graduation from NIFT. Later she was moved to the land of dreams Mumbai, to start her professional life. Shweta is very foodie & her love for street foods easily depicts with her twitter username ‘@battatawada’. Her off screen interests are photography, dancing, designing & travelling.

Shweta was started her career as a photo editor at women’s magazine Femina. She was also worked with Pixion Trailer House where her work was to cut videos. In year 2009, she got her first chance to enter in acting field with the TV series of Disney ‘Kya Mast Hai Life‘. Then in 2011 she played a title role in short film Sujata. Shweta has also worked in many TV commercials for popular brands like McDonalds, Vodafone, Tata Sky etc.

The actress rose in fame with her Bollywood debut movie Masaan in which she played as second female lead named Shaalu & also received appreciation for her performance in the movie. Her another Bollywood movie is Haraamkhor opposite to the renowned actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Shweta was supposed to made her debut in Bollywood with Haraamkhor but Masaan got released before than it.
