Padmaavat Releasing on 25 January 2018

Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor starrer Padmaavat was initially scheduled to release on December 1 last year. But due to numerous protests against it’s release and delay in getting clearance from censor board, makers decided to postpone the release to no fixed date.

Now when CBFC has issued ‘U/A’ certificate to the film with minor modifications, Bhansali & team have finalized the release date for Padmaavat. Although some groups are still against it’s release, but as per official announcement, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures’ presentation is all set to hit screens on Republic Day weekend.

Earlier the date was supposed to witness the clash between Akshay Kumar’s PadMan and Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary. But now the clash is between PadMan and Padmaavat, because to avoid clutter at box office Pandey has shifted his film to 09 February 2018.

Till October 2017, Padmaavat had great pre-release hype among fans but now the conditions are not that good, also the film is not releasing in all the states of country due to protests. So let see, how it will perform opposite to highly buzzed PadMan which received universal acceptance.
