Mohit Suri’s Half Girlfriend is Based on Chetan Bhagat’s Novel
For the first time, Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor are sharing screen with each other in Mohit Suri’s directorial Half Girlfriend. Based on the novel of same title written by Chetan Bhagat, this romantic drama is scheduled to be released on 19th May 2017. Produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Mohit Suri and Chetan Bhagat himself under the banners Balaji Motion Pictures and ALT Entertainment.
Half Girlfriend is buzzing on a good note among fans as well as audience from the time when it was announced. To maintain the hype, makers were posting it’s teaser posters telling the facts about the film. Now to raise the excitement of fans, they have finally unveiled the official first look poster which features Arjun and Shraddha in an Aashiqui 2 rainy pose but without jacket.
Reportedly Mohit Suri has made major changes in the story of the movie as compare to Chetan Bhagat’s novel. Originally the leading character Riya Somani was sexually abused by his father but being a father of a daughter, Mohit moved out of that dark zone and decided to replace this condition with social issues relatable to women.
Half Girlfriend went on floor in June 2016 and has shot at prominent shooting locations that include Miranda House in New Delhi, Times Square and UN Headquarters in New York City. Now after the first look poster, now everyone including critics are looking forward to it’s trailer and music, which is composed by Mithoon, Tanishk Bagchi, Rishi Rich, Farhan Saeed, Ami Mishra & Rahul Mishra under the music label Zee Music Company.
