Salman Khan’s Next ‘Tubelight’ with Director Kabir Khan
The third collaboration of superstar Salman Khan with the director Kabir Khan after 2012’s Ek Tha Tiger and 2015’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, is titled as ‘Tubelight’. The director is very excited to work with his favorite star once again. As per the report, shooting of the movie will be started soon in Ladakh. On July 25, the team will fly to the location for wrapping the first schedule.
After Ladakh, second schedule of Tubelight was planned to be shot in Kashmir. But now the team will come back to Mumbai instead of going there. The decision has been changed because of the current unrest situation of Kashmir following Burhwan Wani’s encounter by Indian Security Forces. A spokesperson for the production team told, “we have been advised to keep away due to security reasons. So, the schedule has been indefinitely put on hold,”. He also informed, that no alternate location has finalized for the shoot yet.
Tubelight is set against the backdrop of the Indo-China war of 1962. The war is notable for being fought under harsh mountain conditions at the altitude of over 4000 metres. It was Salman who insisted that the movie be shot in the exact locations of the war – Ladakh and Kashmir, which doesn’t seem possible under such circumstances.
So far there is no confirmation regarding the female lead, but two names Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone are in the air. Possibly Deepika might be the one opposite to Salman in this movie. Reportedly, brother Sohail Khan is playing the role of Salman’s brother in Tubelight, which is slated to be released on Eid 2017.
