Omung Kumar’s ‘Sarbjit’ stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda & Richa Chaddha

Sarbjit, scheduled to be Released in May 2016

Sarbjit is an upcoming biopic drama film directed by Omung Kumar and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Sandeep Singh, Smita Thakeray, Bhushan Kumar and Omung himself under the banners T-Series, Pooja Entertainment and Legend Studios Pvt. Ltd. It features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda and Richa Chaddha in lead roles, along with Darshan Kumar, Shiwani Saini and Ankur Bhatia in supporting roles.

Sarbjit is based on the real life of Sarabjit Singh, who was an Indian national convicted of terrorism and spying by a Pakistan court. Story of Sarbjit is written by Utkarshini Vashishtha & Rajesh Beri and cinematography handled by Kiran Deohans. Randeep is playing the title role in the film which will be narrated through the perspective of Sarabjit Singh’s sister Dalbir Kaur being played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. By unveiling its official logo and stills, makers have successfully gained bit attention of audience towards the film.

Right now the film is under production stage and scheduled to be released in May 2016. It will also be screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2016. Sarbjit has much pre-release buzz among audience due to its content and of-course the presence of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in it. Critics have positive hope with this film and looking for further announcements from officials.
