Sairat Remake ‘Dhadak’ Stars Janhvi Kapoor & Ishaan Khattar, 6 July 2018 Release

Veteran actress Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor and actor Shahid Kapoor’s half brother Ishaan Khattar are all set to make their Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s romantic drama film Dhadak. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, it is an official remake of 2016’s super hit Marathi film Sairat that was starring Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar.

After the successful rom-com Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Dharma Productions has once again joined hands with director Shashank Khaitan. Being the debut project of star kids and remake of Sairat, this upcoming venture is in news from a long time and now it has got the title and release date as well, 6 July 2018.

On November 15 after noon, producer Karan Johar shared a video on twitter, in which he told, “5 years ago Sidharth, Varun & Alia joined the Dharma family and as we speak they are scintillating stars of the movie industry. Today we are about to extend our family, we are to present two new actors”.

Then in evening, Karan again took to twitter and shared the first look posters of the film titled Dhadak. He captioned, “PRESENTING…JANHVI and ISHAAN @ZeeStudios_ and @DharmaMovies proudly present #धड़क directed by @ShashankKhaitan @apoorvamehta18 ..#DHADAK”.

The posters feature Janhvi & Ishaan in an embrace against the backdrop of setting sun in desert, are being liked by everyone. Both the young actors look adorable together and are expected to give solid performances as well, so that the film can make good impact on viewers like the original one.

Produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios, Dhadak is scheduled to hit screens next year on 6th July 2018.
