The third installment of India’s popular suspense thriller franchise Race is all set to go on floors from November in Mumbai. Titled as Race 3, the upcoming offering is bigger than predecessors because this time superstar Salman Khan will be seen playing lead role in place of Saif Ali Khan.

Produced by Tips Films, the franchise Race was begun in year 2008 and got it’s second installment in 2013. Both the films were directed by the duo Abbas-Mustan, but for the third one, makers have joined hands with choreographer turned director Remo D’souza.

Alongside Salman Khan, Race 3 stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol & Saqib Saleem in pivotal roles. Reportedly beside the cast & director, the new installment of the franchise also has completely different storyline written by Shiraz Ahmed.

Earlier the shooting of Race 3 was planned to commence in Abu Dhabi where extensive portion of the film is to be shot. But as Salman Khan is currently tied up with the TV show Bigg Boss and also gearing up for his forthcoming film Tiger Zinda Hai, he won’t be able to join foreign schedule in November.

Considering the situation and to avoid any delay in the filming of Race 3, makers & Salman decided to start it’s shooting with the Mumbai schedule, so that he can manage both the ventures simultaneously. Salman Khan is also the co-producer of the film with Ramesh S. Taurani.
