1 Week Total Collection of Dhanush & Kajol starrer Velai Illa Pattadhaari VIP 2 (Tamil)

Last Friday released superstar Dhanush starrer latest Tamil offering Velai Illa Pattadharri 2 popularly known as VIP 2 has passed it’s first week on a good note despite mixed reviews. Sequel to 2014’s big Tamil hit VIP, the movie had good initial hype among fans as well as audience, which resulted in favor of it.

On the opening day, VIP 2 recorded excellent occupancy across Tamil state on more than 300 screens and registered the business of 5.75 crores. While the previous installment of the franchise VIP did the opening business of 4.36 crores from 400 screens.

On Saturday asusual the movie dropped to some extent but still remained good and minted the amount of 3.50 crores. Then due to public holiday on Sunday, it grossed the business of 4 crores and raised it’s opening weekend total collection to 13.25 crores from Tamil Nadu.

After a good weekend, Velai Illa Pattadhaari 2 stayed steady in weekdays and raked good business. On Monday it witnessed considerable drop in footfalls than Sunday and raked the business of 3 crores. Then on Tuesday there was a holiday due to Independence Day & Krishna Janmashtami, so the movie took good jump and score 4.50 crores.

Then being normal working days, Dhanush-Kajol starrer faced some drop and collected the amount of 2.75 crores on Wednesday and 2.50 crores on Thursday. After a week, total collection of VIP 2 is recorded as 26 crores.

Directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth, VIP 2 has been shot in Tamil and Telugu languages simultaneously and dubbed in Hindi as well. Hindi version titled VIP 2 Lalkar has been released this Friday, while the Telugu one is yet to release.
