As expected, the movie that has brought the megastar Amitabh Bachchan and evergreen Rishi Kapoor together after a long time, the slice-of-life comedy-drama 102 Not Out has got succeed to win everybody’s heart with its heartfelt story-line and delightful performances by the actors.
Despite a slow start due to the presence of biggie Avengers Infinity War at the box office, Umesh Shukla’s directorial picked up very well over the weekend and did the business of 16.65 crores, that included 3.52 crores of Friday, 5.53 crores of Saturday and 7.60 crores of Sunday.
Now 102 Not Out is running on weekdays and on a steady note, it has minted the amount of 3.02 crores on Monday and 2.83 crores on Tuesday. Then on the next day i.e. Wednesday, it garnered the business of 2.65 crores and raised 6 days total collection to 25.15 crores at the domestic box office.
While the second Hindi offering of the week, Hansal Mehta’s crime drama Omerta has received positive reviews from the critics but remained low and did the business of 2.63 crores on the weekend. Then with usual drops on weekdays, Rajkummar Rao starrer minted the amount of 0.30 crore on Monday, 0.25 crore on Tuesday and 0.25 crore on Wednesday. With this, its 6 days total collection has become 3.43 crores.
On the other hand, the much-awaited Telugu movie Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India has received mostly positive reviews and opened on an excellent note but got failed to maintain the pace. On the weekend, it collected the shares of 27.40 crores from the Telugu states, that included 16.25 crores of Friday, 5.25 crores of Saturday and 5.90 crores of Sunday.
Now Allu Arjun starrer is running on weekdays and as usual, getting a lower response at the box office. With considerable drops, it minted the shares of 3 crores on Monday, 2.10 crores on Tuesday, and 1.25 crores on Wednesday. After this, the total 6 days collection of NSNI has become 33.75 crores shares (49.10 crores gross) from Andhra Pradesh & Telangana.
