10th Day Collection of Judwaa 2, Varun Dhawan Starrer Earns 116 Crore with 2nd Weekend

Despite having newly released Saif Ali Khan’s Chef and others in opposite, Varun Dhawan starrer Judwaa 2 remained unaffected in the second weekend as well and emerged as seventh highest grossing movie of the year so far. It has also become the third highest grosser of Varun’s career by dominating ABCD 2 within 9 days of release.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Judwaa 2 is the official remake of 1997’s Salman Khan starrer Judwaa. Directed by David Dhawan, it stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles opposite to Varun Dhawan. Unfortunately the movie received mixed reviews from critics but still got succeed to attract audience toward theaters.

In the opening weekend, this action comedy witnessed outstanding response and did the business of 59.25 crores, that included 16.10 crores of Friday, 20.55 crores of Saturday and 22.60 crores of Sunday from more than 3500 screens across the country.

Then in weekdays as well, Judwaa 2 got good business and raked the business of 18 crores on Monday (Gandhi Jayanti), 8.05 crores of Tuesday, 6.72 crores of Wednesday and 6.06 crores of Thursday. After a week, total collection of the movie was recorded as 98.08 crores.

Now it is running in the second week and passed the second weekend on a very good note. On 2nd Friday, it faced 29% of drop than previous day and minted the amount of 4.25 crores. While on 2nd Saturday with good growth, the movie added 5.75 crores to it’s account.

On the next day i.e. 2nd Sunday, Judwaa 2 reported more rise in footfalls and collected the amount of 8.10 crores. With this, total 10 days collection of the movie has become 116.18 crores at domestic box office. Now it is all set to surpass the lifetime total of Varun’s last offering Badrinath Ki Dulhania (116.60 crores) and Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 (117 crores) by 2nd Monday.
