Remaining unaffected by the new offerings, last week released the Hindi horror comedy Stree is heading towards the 100-crore mark at the domestic box office. With a solid word of mouth, it showed an excellent performance so far and already achieved the tag of super-hit.
Shraddha Kapoor & Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree has received mostly positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience for its interesting content and commendable performance by the entire cast. As a result, it still has a very good over the audience in its second week across the country.
Due to positive feedback, Amar Kaushik’s directorial took a solid start and showed a strong uptrend over the opening weekend. By remaining rock-steady throughout the first week, it did the business of 60.39 crores with 32.27 crores on the weekend and 28.12 crores on weekdays.
Then in the second weekend as well, Stree maintained a good pace and registered the business of 21.90 crores that included 4.39 crores on 2nd Friday, 7.63 crores on 2nd Saturday & 9.88 crores on 2nd Sunday from 1770 Screens. Now the movie is running on weekdays once again and as usual getting lesser footfalls in theaters than earlier.
On 2nd Monday, Dinesh Vijan’s production minted the amount of 3.31 crores after a drop of 24.60% than Friday. With a slight further drop, it managed to collect 3.22 crores on 2nd Tuesday. On the next day i.e. 2nd Wednesday, Stree bagged the amount of 2.95 crores and raised 13 days total collection to 91.77 crores.
