After getting a mixed response from the audience, 2018’s one of the most-awaited films Zero unexpectedly got slowed down within a week. In the second week, it is heading steadily but on a very low note and this is why the newly released Simmba has dominated it within just 4 days of release.
Superstar Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif & Anushka Sharma starrer Zero has got failed to live up to its humongous expectations and as a result, facing rejection across the country. In the opening week, it registered the business of 90.07 crores which included 59.07 crores in the weekend and 31 crores on weekdays from 4380 screens nationwide.
In the second weekend, Aanand L Rai’s directorial did the business of 3.75 crores with 1 crore on Friday, 1.25 crore on Saturday & 1.50 crore on Sunday. On 2nd Monday, it collected 1 crore, while 1.50 crore on 2nd Tuesday due to a holiday. Then on 2nd Wednesday, with a significant drop, it minted 0.60 crore and raised 13 days domestic collection to 96.92 crores.
On the other hand, the dubbed Hindi version of Kannada magnum opus KGF has got succeed to entertain many in theatres and gained solid word of mouth. As a result, it did the business of 21.45 crores in the first week which included 12.10 crores in the weekend and 9.35 crores on weekdays from 1500 screens.
In the second weekend as well, superstar Yash starrer remained rock-solid and raked the business of 5.25 crores from 780 screens with 1.25 crore on Friday, 1.75 crore on Saturday & 2.25 crores on Sunday. On 2nd Monday, the film managed to collect the amount of 1.50 crore.
Then on 2nd Tuesday, Prashanth Neel’s directorial KGF (Hindi) witnessed a good growth and minted 2.25 crores. On the next day i.e. 2nd Wednesday, with a slight drop in footfalls, the film bagged 1.30 crore and raised its 13 days total collection to 31.75 crores.
