14th Day Collection of Mubarakan, Arjun Kapoor Starrer Rakes Over 48.50 Crores in 2 Weeks

Couple of weeks back released family entertainer Mubarakan didn’t witness desired response at box office in the opening week, but received positive reviews from all the viewers including critics. As a result, it remained steady throughout the second week despite having biggie Jab Harry Met Sejal in opposite.

Arjun Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Ileana D’cruz and Athiya Shetty starrer Mubarakan hasn’t raked an impressive business total though, but it has emerged as the one among few Hindi movies of the year which received full fledged public and critics acceptance.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, this romantic comedy drama started it’s journey on an average note but due to positive word of mouth, it picked up impressively well over the weekend and also remained steady in weekdays after usual drop.

It did the business of total 35.66 crores in the opening week, that included 22.91 crores of weekend and 12.75 crores of weekdays from 2350 screens across the country. In the second weekend, once again the movie showed fair growth as compare to it’s 2nd Friday.

Mubarakan raked the business of 6.08 crores in the second weekend, including 1.05 crore on Friday, 2 crores on Saturday and 3.03 crores on Sunday. Then in weekdays, it recorded lesser footfalls than before but remained almost steady.

On 2nd Monday, Arjun-Anil Kapoor starrer raked the business of 2.85 crores due to holiday of Raksha Bandhan. With usual drops in normal working days, it added the amount of 1.45 crore on Tuesday and 1.45 crore on Wednesday.

On the next day i.e. 2nd Thursday, Mubarakan reported slight drop and garnered the business of 1.21 crore. With this, total 2 weeks collection of Anees Bazmee’s directorial has become 48.70 crores at domestic box office. Now it will have Akshay Kumar’s Toilet Ek Prem Katha to compete with in the third week.
