15th Day Collection of Secret Superstar, Surpasses Lifetime Total of Mubarakan in 2 Weeks

Superstar Aamir Khan’s recent production venture Secret Superstar was released on Diwali with high expectations. Unfortunately it got failed to receive desired response at box office but still showed decent performance nationwide. Due to having highly buzzed Golmaal Again in opposite, it became the second choice for viewers.

Directed by Advait Chandan, Secret Superstar stars Dangal girl Zaira Wasim in lead role, who has once again proved her excellence and receive huge appreciation. With it’s solid content, the movie impressed everyone and gained strong word of mouth, but still struggled due to clash.

After a decent opening, it picked up very well over the opening weekend but got failed to carry that pace further and did the business of 41.59 crores that included 31.10 crores of 4-days extended weekend and 10.49 crores of weekdays from 1750 screens across the country.

In the second weekend as well, Secret Superstar remained far behind Golmaal Again and reported the business of 9.60 crores including 2.10 crores of Friday, 3.50 crores of Saturday and 4 crores of Sunday. Then in weekdays, asusual it dropped by considerable rate and minted 1.25 crore on Monday, 1.25 crore on Tuesday and again 1.25 crore on Wednesday.

On the last day i.e. 3rd Thursday, Zee Studios’ presentation witnessed some dip and bagged the amount of 0.90 crore. With this, total collection of Secret Superstar after 15 days of release, has become 55.84 crores at domestic box office. It has now surpassed the lifetime total of Anees Bazmee’s Mubarakan (55.59 crores).
