A couple of weeks back released Hindi horror comedy Stree showed an excellent performance so far at the box office and achieved the tag of superhit by remaining unaffected by the parallel-running offerings. Now it has entered in the third weekend and still has enough hold over the audience across India.
For its engaging story-line and noticeable performances by the entire cast, Stree has received mostly positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience. With a solid word of mouth, it remained strong throughout the first week and did the business of 60.39 crores that included 32.27 crores on the weekend and 28.12 crores on weekdays from 1950 screens.
Then in the second week as well, Amar Kaushik’s directorial maintained a very good pace and registered the business of 35.14 crores with 21.90 crores on the weekend and 13.24 crores on weekdays from 1770 screens. After 2 weeks, the total collection of the movie was recorded at 95.53 crores nett.
Now Dinesh Vijan’s production has stepped-in the second weekend and has newly released Manmarziyaan, Mitron, Love Sonia & The Predator in the opposite. On 3rd Friday, Stree faced a drop of 43.10% than the previous day and minted the amount of 2.14 crores.
After half a month of release, the total collection of Shraddha Kapoor & Rajkummar Rao starrer has become 97.67 crores at the domestic box office. As per the current trend, it seems to join the 100-crore club by 3rd Saturday i.e. in just one more day.
