Week 3: ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ Vs ‘Sarrainodu’
Couple of weeks back released Pawan Kalyan starrer action Telugu movie Sardaar Gabbar Singh has completed its two weeks journey at box office on a good note. The movie has received mixed reviews from critics but favorable response from audience. As a result it managed to collect such impressive business total across the Telugu states despite abrupt fall from the second day. Due to massive initial buzz, it took an excellent start on box office but faced a big dip in its business on the second day. With the support of fans, it continued with a steady performance and register a good total after a week.
In the opening week, Sardaar Gabbar Singh reported overall good performance and raked the business of total 46.20 cr, that includes 32 cr of weekend and 14.20 cr of weekdays. In its second weekend, it performed on a decent note and minted the amount of 7.85 cr, that includes 2.40 cr of Friday, 2.45 cr of Saturday and 3 cr of Sunday. After 10 days, total collection of Sardaar Gabbar Singh was recorded as 54.05 cr across Andhra Pradesh & Telangana.
In weekdays, as expected it received lesser response than weekend and did the business of around 6.20 cr, including 1.90 cr of Monday, 1.60 cr of Tuesday, 1.45 cr of Wednesday and 1.25 cr of Thursday. After 2 weeks, total collection of this K.S. Ravindra’s directorial was recorded as 60.25 cr on AP/T box office. Now the movie has entered in the third week and facing competition due to new Telugu release Sarrainodu of superstar Allu Arjun. Sardaar Gabbar Singh has started its 15th day on an average note and estimated to add around 0.70 cr to its account across Telugu states.
