16th Day Collection of Toilet Ek Prem Katha TEPK, Akshay Kumar’s Film Collects 127 Crore Total in 16 Days

Inspired by the true incidents, endorsing ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, latest Hindi film Toilet Ek Prem Katha is being liked by everyone and as a result heading smoothly on box office. Within the 12 days of release, it has emerged as the third highest grossing film of the year so far and still has enough hold over the audience.

Superstar Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer this satirical romantic drama has received very positive reviews from most of the critics and gained strong word of mouth. From audience also it is getting enthusiastic response because of it’s solid content and brilliant performances given by the entire cast.

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, TEPK recorded excellent occupancy in theaters across the country over the opening week and did the business of 96.05 crores. This included 51.45 crores of weekend and 44.60 crores of weekdays from around 3000 screens nationwide.

Then in the second week too, Toilet Ek Prem Katha reported good performance at box office despite having several new Hindi & English offerings in opposite. It garnered the business of 28.35 crores, with 19 crores of weekend and 9.35 crores of weekdays. After 2 weeks, total collection of the film was recorded as 124.40 crores.

Now Akshay-Bhumi starrer is running in it’s third weekend and has several more offerings in opposite. On 3rd Friday, TEPK witnessed 50% of drop in business graph than previous day and minted the amount of 1 crore. On the next day i.e. 2nd Saturday, once again it showed fair growth and collected 1.50 crore.

With this, total collection of Toilet Ek Prem Katha after 16 days of release, has become 126.90 crores at domestic box office. By this weekend, the film is likely to emerge as Akshay’s second highest grosser of all time by surpassing the lifetime total of his Rustom (127.49 crores) and Airlift (128.10 crores).
