‘Sarbjit’ now Struggles at Box Office due to Housefull 3

Director Omung Kumar’s recent venture, the biographical movie ‘Sarbjit’ has completed its 2 weeks journey on a decent note. Now it is running in the third week and struggling at box office due to much awaited new release Housefull 3. The movie completes its third weekend on a low note and heading towards complete settlement till this week.

Sarbjit features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda and Richa Chadha in lead roles. All of them are being praised by everyone for giving such intense and brilliant performances in the movie. This will definitely give new height to their acting career. Bollywood critics have also reviewed it with very positive comments.

In the opening week, Sarbjit reported decent performance and minted the amount of 22.09 crores, that includes 13.96 crores of weekend and 8.13 crores of weekdays. In its second week too, it witnessed decent and raked the business of 6.98 crores, that includes 4.58 crores of weekend and 2.40 crores of weekdays. After 2 weeks, total collection of Sarbjit was recorded as 29.07 crores at domestic box office.

Now the movie is running in its third week and witnessing lesser response, as most of the audience has diverted towards Housefull 3. On a low note, it minted 0.31 crore* on Friday & 0.33 crore* on Saturday. On the last of weekend i.e. today, it started the day on slightly better occupancy and likely to collect 0.38 crore* as its 17th day collection. With this, total collection of Sarbjit after third weekend seems to cross the mark of 30 crores across India.
